127 hours is about a man who was in a desert and attempted to climb across a large crevas were he put his foot on a rock and the rock fell extremely far down into this large crevas. As he looked he had found his arm reaped in the rock and he couldn't get out the movie is about him getting out of the crevas and the events in between.

Then I would buy a large portion of chips from gui garden for £1.20 and that leaves me 5p towards my next meal. Tension Creators!

In the opening paragraph the writer does a great job of creating tension He shows this by writing ‘I lolled on the rope, scarcely available to hold my head up’. This created tension by making you imagine what it was like to be there.

The fears that Joe Simpson displays in his time of anguish increases the tension it creates a desicion between life and death of him and his partner whilst hanging off the edge of a 50 foot cliff. pity and weariness are words of his emotions.

In Touching the Void Joe Simpson creates tension by exaggerating. There was no need for the torture. This creates tension by showing that he is so anxious for the torture and pain he is feeling must end.
